Students of translatology are trained in masses at the Faculty of Arts of the Comenius University, but AI is recognized as a threat from the aspect the future job positions of the alumni. The way out means finding new functions of human translators such as pot editing etc. The paper presents a comparative research of syntactic and lexical faults of machine translators in their 10 years involvement. Linguistic analysis of lacks show, where are the ways of the alumni and what should be taught them. We present, where post edition is needed and which are still weak points of the automatic translation. The curricula of the study programs are modified cyclically, that's why linguistic background evaluation of this is needed.
